135mm(5.25") petty with hybrid resin handle made from punky pieces of wood that we were kindly given by our friends at the Station North Tool Library.
The word petty is derived from the French word, "petit". They are the middle ground between a paring and a chef knife. There is no defined size or shape to a petty, as they are used to handle almost any task. In my view, they are the ultimate utility kitchen knife. From small delicate work, to breaking down chickens and everything in between, the petty is my go to knife for every day cooking.
