The ash came from Camp Small, a local sawmill that takes trees that are cut down in Baltimore City and the surrounding area. 

15N20/52100 carbon steel blade in a semi-integral style. 

Laser grind on this bad mamba-jamba. No resistance on your cuts, you will barely feel an onion as you cut through it. However, this thin grind makes for a more delicate blade, so definitely no bones, frozen foods, or tough items like kabocha squash.
