172 x 55mm Wa Santoku

172 x 55mm (6.8 x 2.16") santoku with a walnut and maple handle made by Chris Schimpf. 

125Cr1 carbon steel blade. 

This was a template for a run of groomsmen knives I did earlier this year. We copied it with a sheet stock version, and so it was just sitting around waiting to be finished. I'm really pleased with how it came out. 

Solid feeling knife, more forward heavy, but with my signature thin tip and hollow grind, so it breezes through food. 

Balance point is in the middle of the makers mark.
