204 x 73mm knife with spalted tamarind and spalted maple. The maple is from Camp Small in Baltimore. I believe the Tamarind is from India. 

1084 carbon steel blade. 

Big Ass Knife. Thats pretty much it. Or is it?

I have seen a lot of these Serbian Cleavers on Instagram that look really bad. I don't like seeing them but they keep popping up. So I made one, and knives that size are fun to make. This is more in the big ass santoku style than a cleaver, but you get it. 

This knife starts out at my usual chef knife thickness at the spine, but is very tall and has a radius (concave) grind to it. It is much lighter than it looks, and feels really great in the hand, it has some weight from a larger handle and a big tang and bolster, so the balance point is at the pinch grip. 

If you like big and tall, but not overly so, knives, this is a strong choice for you.
